As I start this, I have five pieces of three different styles of adapters that were used and recently removed from Apple computer. I thought these were made by Apple, but now I see there are no brand markings (other than DisplayPort Cable printed on the cabling itself), so I don't know, they might not be made by Apple. But the company had these five in use with Apple computers (towers and iMacs, I think) and these were all working when they got rid of the computers.
